Extended Operations

The Bulk Data Export API primarily leverages the following extended operations:

  1. Request export by Group id.
  2. Check status and obtain list of exported files.
  3. Download exported files.

Server-Level Operations​

Poll-Status Operation ($export-poll-status)​

The Poll-Status Operation checks the status of an export by its id.

Instance-Level Operations​

Binary Access Read Operation (/Binary/[id]/$binary-access-read)​

The Binary Access Read Operation retrieves a file from a completed export without the FHIR Binary metadata.

Group Export Operation (/Group/[id]/$export)​

The Group Export Operation enables obtain a detailed set of FHIR resources of diverse resource types pertaining to all members of the specified Group.
